WHAT/NAME OF EVENT:   “Global Weirdness” an environmental pop up art show

DATE:  Wednesday July 24

TIME:  5-7 PM

WHERE:  On the Animas River trail at the bridge near the junction of Animas and Junction Creek (between high school and library).  Look for two large canvases hanging on the fence along the river trail.

DESCRIPTION OF EVENT:  A contrast of the drought summer of 2018 and the high water of 2019. Poured paint project done on the dry river bed of Junction Creek in 2018 and on the grassy banks at high water in 2019.  Join us as we discuss extreme weather patterns happening here and around the world.
Meet climate science researchers here for the summer from Cal-Poly University and hear their stories of what they are seeing/showing/researching.
